LEARN TO SKATE CAMP

Our Learn-to-Skate ice skating camp is designed for the complete beginner to pre-freestyle* (LTS USA levels) skater (age 4+) who wants to learn how to skate, discover and practice new and exciting skills both on and off the ice, make new friends and have fun! Each camp day will have its own theme and the daily activities will based around the theme! Beat the heat and join us at the ‘coolest’ camp in town! Skaters will be busy all day – both on and off the ice – with many activities! We hope they learn to love the ice, just as much as we all do!

* Skaters Freestyle 1 and higher, will join our Figure Skating Camp! Pre-Freestyle may also, but it is up to each skater and how much time they wish to spend on the ice during camp. Message jenn@ice-land.com with any questions to help you decide!

FIGURE SKATING CAMP

Our summer figure skating camp accommodates all levels of freestyle skaters* through advanced competitive levels. All on-ice classes will be taught by our professional certified staff and will be divided by skill level. 4 hours of ice time daily with 1.5 hours of professional instruction on-ice and 1 to 1.5 hour(s) of off-ice instructed activities! Skaters can use the extra ice time for practice and/or private lessons. On-ice classes include jumps, spins, choreography, moves-in-the-field, stroking, and ice dancing. Off-ice classes include hex jumps, stretching, yoga, basic ballet, off-ice jumps, positions and more!

* Must be at least freestyle level 1 (LTS USA) or higher to participate in our freestyle camp, but we conveniently have our Learn-to-Skate camp the same weeks!

COACH BARCLESS HOCKEY CAMP

Our annual Summer Hockey Camp with Coach Chris Barcless! Each year we bring together the best coaching talent to provide a camp that always provides quality instruction in a fun and exciting setting. We offer the most innovative instruction, designed to meet the needs of today’s player. Our full day Camp is open to players who are 7-14 (At the time of camp), for the travel level player ONLY, from Mites to Bantams. Our program emphasizes skill development and isolates individual weaknesses for improvement.

We continually analyze a student’s strengths and weaknesses, including all aspects from stick handling and shooting skills to strength and conditioning. Players will participate in skills, drills, scrimmages and the infamous 15 Lapper, Torpedo Alley and more!

Each day the players improve existing skills, learn new skills and enjoy the game of hockey taught by our very own Coach Barcless, Coach Wagner and their staff of counselors! Coach Barcless was named the Youth Hockey Coach of the Year last year and is sought after for his techniques and love of the game! Chris is available for private lessons before or after camp. FIRE AND ICE HOCKEY CAMP

New for this year – LTP level up to 10 years old! Is your Mini Chief, Mite, or LTP level skater (Ages 4-10) looking to sharpen their skills for next season? Or, are you looking for get your child interested in playing hockey? Join our Mite level hybrid dry-land and ice hockey camp at Ice Land! We will start our mornings outside in the back, secluded lot with stretches, races, and fun warm-up games. After our warm-ups, we will pick up our hockey sticks and work on basic skills such as stick handling, shooting, passing, and basic hockey game play. We will incorporate fun, friendly competition games to work on our skills. Each morning will end with an organized street hockey game! After lunch, we will put on our ice hockey gear and hit the ice! We will continue to work on our skills and teach your child the basic hockey skills in a fun and structured way get them ready for whatever their next step is, whether it be recreational or travel level hockey!

Each child needs to have completed at least 2 sessions of the Mini Chiefs (or equal program elsewhere) or have been enrolled in Learn-to-Play before the first week of camp or demonstrate they are able to ice skate comfortably on their own, doing basic skills such as front and back swizzles, pumps and stops. Ages 4-10. If your child hasn’t ever skated yet – this is NOT a Learn to Skate camp. Sign them up for Learn to Skate NOW and get ready for camp! Private lessons are also an option!

RETURN POLICY FOR CAMPS AT ICE LAND

Full refunds will be given up to 4 weeks prior to the start date of your camp. After that, credits will only be given with a doctor’s note excusing them from camp. Camp dates without a doctor’s note will forfeit all paid funds. There are no make-up days or credits for missed days of camp, no exceptions. Camp days MAY NOT be transferred to another skater or another week of camp once their camp week starts. If you need to transfer your week of camp BEFORE camp starts, we will try to accommodate your request, if availability allows, but it is not guaranteed.
