Does your child ask to play ice hockey? Are you concerned about the cost? Ice Land has an option for you – our in house league – Junior Rangers Rookie League! (Think rec soccer, rec baseball, etc.) Our Rookie League includes one skill day, Wednesday nights from 7:30-8:30 PM, and one game day, Sunday nights, 6-7 PM, for 10 weeks!

Fall Session:
Wednesday: 9/11, 9/18, 9/25, 10/2, 10/9, 10/16, 10/23, 10/30, 11/6, 11/13
Sunday: 9/15, 9/22, 9/29, 10/6, 10/13, 10/20, 10/27, 11/3, 11/10, 11/17

*Must know how to skate. This is not Learn-to-Skate or Learn to Play! (Players must have graduated from Learn to Play or the Mini Chiefs and be ready for our Rookie League!)
*5-13 Years Old. (The system will NOT allow you to register anyone over 10. Use the highest birth year OR 2912 as a bypass.)
*Birth Years 2006 and older are encouraged to join our Adult Learn to Play.

We do not know ahead of time the amount of players we will get for each age group. Players will be grouped as closely to their age group as possible.

We do NOT do registration through our system; all registrations are done through the Rangers with the link below!

Our Rangers Learn to Play program at Ice Land is under the direction of Coach Brian, along with the New York Rangers. The Fall + Winter sessions are open for registration!

Fall Session:
Saturday: 9/7, 9/14, 9/21, 9/28, 10/5, 10/12, 10/26, 11/2, 11/9,  11/23
Winter Session:
Saturday: 12/7, 12/14, 1/4, 1/11, 1/18, 1/25, 2/1, 2/8, 2/15, 3/1

Players MUST know how to skate to join this program. We also highly recommend joining our Learn to Skate classes in conjunction with LTP in Pre-Hockey 1, 2, or Hockey Skating Skills 3, OR taking private lessons.

Age Requirements: 5-10 years old.

REQUIRED EQUIPMENT:
The Learn to Play Hockey Rookie Program includes a hockey equipment starter kit for first time players. The gear will be provided by Rangers Learn to Play, from helmet to skates, and all questions will be directed to them! Drop off is 8:30/8:45a and pickup is 3/3:15p.

Each year we bring together the best coaching talent to provide a camp that always provides quality instruction in a fun and exciting setting. We offer the most innovative instruction, designed to meet the needs of today’s player. Our full day camp is open to players born in 2009-2015 at the Mites to Bantams levels. Our program emphasizes skill development and isolates individual weaknesses for improvement.

Each day the students improve existing skills, learn new skills and enjoy the game of hockey.

*Campers will receive an email closer to camp about what they need to bring, arrival and departure procedures, etc. Emails generally go out a few days to a week prior to camp. It will come from our Emma email account. If you have unsubscribed to any of those from us, you will NOT receive an email. Please let us know if this is the case.*Campers will need to bring/buy their own lunch.
*Each camper must hand in a printed copy of their immunization records.

Our Mini Chiefs are multiplying! Aren’t they the cutest?! We just happen to think so! Does your little one dream of playing hockey?! Enter the Mini Chiefs. Our Mini Chiefs are our 3-10 year olds who want to hit the ice in hockey gear and shoot some pucks around! We mean, who doesn’t?! BUT we highly recommend they still stay in skating lessons as well. Even the best players still take skating lessons!

The Mini Chiefs learn through fun, age-appropriate, skills, drills and games with Coach Anthony + Coach Stephanie!  Many of last year's Mini Chiefs are on our U6 + U8 Mercer Chiefs Mites travel teams this year!

MINI CHIEFS CHECKLIST:

*MUST be 3-10 years old.
*NOT a first time skater.
*MUST have completed at least ONE session of Learn-to-Skate, through Basic 1 OR Tot 2, or know how to move alone well, and do swizzles on the ice before joining the Mini Chiefs.
